Pulling Forms

Pulling Forms is a collaboration between Jess Bonham and Gemma Tickle, in conjunction with G.F Smith.

The project stemmed from a mutual enjoyment in the textural qualities of paper and fabric, along with a desire to work in a looser and more spontaneous manner then still life generally allows. In order to maintain a sense of integrity of form, arrangements were made by embracing the randomness of action; fabric was pulled through slits of paper with minimal handling and fuss, and repeated until the desired effect was reached.
